2 Weeks old!!!

I love this picture of the boys together! Except Owen's binky broke in half.

He LOVES to hold his brother and requests to hold him every morning (for just a few seconds though).

Big Boy Bed

When we moved Steve set up the toddler bed in the boys' room so that when we move Ashton into the crib, Owen can sleep in the toddler bed. Typically we keep our babies in our room in the bassinet/bouncy seat until around 5 or 6 months old and then move them to the crib. I didn't want Owen out of his crib yet but one day when I went to put him down to bed he climbed in the toddler bed. It doesn't even have sheets on it yet but I asked if he wanted to sleep there and he said yes. So I let him try it and he fell asleep. At 3 in the morning we hear him crying and Steve went in there and somehow he had got stuck under the bed so back in the crib he went. He has tried to sleep in there a few more times but keeps getting out of his bed and leaving his room so he is still in his crib for now. Oh yeah, the monkey in bed with him is his luvvy. He needs it to sleep with along with his bear dressed up like a bunny.

Audrey's Party!

My little spitfire turns the big 5 tomorrow! We were supposed to have her birthday party on the 20th so that we could have it before the baby was born but he came on the 16th so I was being released from the hospital on the 20th so we decided to do it the weekend after. She wanted a Alvin and the Chipmunks and Chipettes party. She and Olivia play with their chipmunk and chipette stuffed animals more than anything else. Isn't her cake fun?

We had her birthday party at The Bay, a little aquatic park, and it was a lot of fun.

There was an airshow nearby during the party so we got to see some of it. A Stealth aircraft also flew over, it was so cool.

They had so much fun. I love that Audrey's birthday is in the summer so we can do outdoor parties like I had when I was little. Party attendees: Reagan, Lucy, Maggie, Brooke, Madison, Lauren, Aaron, Eli, Ava, Paityn. I have to write it down so that years from now when we look at the pictures we won't be like "What was her name?"

I was scheduled for a c-section today but God had a different plan for baby Ashton. Following are pictures from the hospital through today.

My favorite nurse Janet. She was my night nurse 3 nights in a row and was great at helping me feed Ashton. Because he was early and little he struggled to latch on and nurse and Janet gave me a lot of tips and was so sweet.

Our first picture as a family of six!

My parents and Steve surprised me and had a lot of the house done while I was in the hospital. A lot was unpacked, they had painted, bought and had our living room furniture delivered, hung light fixtures, etc. I was blown away with the amount of work they did the four days I was in the hospital. I am so grateful for them and they surprised me with all of it. What a wonderful homecoming. Thanks you guys!
