A Fun Time with the Degelos Fam

Steve's sister Shelley and her kids came to visit us to see the house and meet Ashton. It was great to see them and spend some quality time with them.

We used our fire pit for the first time and really enjoyed cooking hot dogs and roasting marshmallows.

Macie has a new name and it is the Baby Whisperer. Almost every time she held Ashton he fell asleep in her arms. So cute.

While they were here Audrey fell off a rolling chair while sitting on her knees and reaching for her water. She landed very hard on our wood floor. We didn't see it but my nephew Garrett saw the tail end of it and said that it looked bad. I think she landed and then flipped over herself. Anyway, she complained about pain near her collar bone and we looked at it and it looked broken so Steve took her to the dr. and sure enough she broke her collarbone. She has to wear a sling for 3 weeks. My niece Macie broke her hand before she came up here so we had two kiddos with breaks at our house.

2 months already

Mr. Ashton, you are 2 months old!
Here are your stats:

• You are 10 lbs. 5 oz. and in the 25% (Owen was almost 13 pounds at 2 months old)

• You wear size 1 diapers finally, you were in newborn for so long. Size 1 even seems a little big on you still.
• You wear size newborn clothes still, I can't believe it, you are so tiny. Olivia and Owen maybe wore newborn for 1 day and Audrey for 1 week but that was all. (Owen was wearing 3-6 months already)
• You just started to find your hands and chew on them a little.
• Your grip is getting so strong.
• You finally can see me and will just stare at my face, I love it.
• You smiled for the first time we think on October 9th, almost 8 weeks. We were at bible study and daddy was holding you and you just looked up at him and grinned real big.
  
• You are gaining more neck strength and can almost hold your head up by yourself.
• When you cry sometimes you have the most blood curdling cry like you are just going to die. It sounds kinda scary. None of the other kids had a cry like that.
  

Here is your twin. Everyone says you and Audrey look alike and I think so too.

Uncle Mike came to meet you for the first time and I think he thought you were pretty cool.

I always wanted a picture of one of my kids with daddy holding them like this but we forgot and I think Olivia and Owen were pretty big to hold like this. I wish we would have done it with just your diaper on and when you were brand new because you were so tiny but I kept forgetting to do it. Oh well, you still look little here.

Catching up!

So I am wayyyyyyyyy behind on blogging, can you tell! I can't keep up. A few times I thought about giving it up but this is my scrapbook for my kids and I can't stop. Be forewarned this is a very long post as I cover the last two months of random stuff.

I took a few pictures of Owen's room at our old house before we packed it because we had added stuff since the first pics I took.

I got this stereo for my 14th birthday, so 22 years ago. It wasn't working well and some of it was falling apart so Steve told me I had to part with it so I said I had to have a picture of it. Boo Hoo.

We had lots of help moving. Here is the guys from our small group.

The kids love to play in our new garage. One day my mom was babysitting and let the kids play in the garage. I was in the house doing something and I went to see what the kids were doing and found this. It was funny for as long as it took me to take these pictures then I wasn't smiling anymore. They found this plaster stuff in the garage and went to town. What a mess to clean up!

Another day I found this. You would think I never check on them. They are fast I'm telling you.

I bet you can't guess what Miss Audrey is doing. Yep, sleeping again in a weird place. I should put a little book together of all her sleeping pics.

I helped Steve paint the school room and he had to take a picture because he usually does the painting alone and I think he was shocked.

No, I haven't given him solid foods yet, although it looks like it. I had thrush and one of the ways to get rid of it is to use Gentian Violet which turns everything purple including the baby's mouth when he nurses.
