Kris Allen and American Idol

Kris Allen is the newest American Idol and I didn't know this but he's a Christian. I found this video on another blog I follow and thought I'd share it with you. He was leading worship at his home church. Awesome!

4 Months

I was 16 weeks this past weekend so I've made it 4 months so far with this pregnancy. I feel pretty good. I love this stage of pregnancy because I'm not feeling sick anymore, I have more energy, I'm not too big and uncomfortable yet so it's almost like I don't really feel pregnant except that I know that I am. Make sense? But it's a hard part too because I'm starting to show but not much so clothes are tighter and unless you know I'm pregnant you would just think I have some extra poundage in front. So finding something to wear that looks decent is my challenge right now. I had my 16 week appointment and I heard the baby's heartbeat again, which I love. It was around 150 beats per minute. We find out in three weeks what it is so that will be fun. What do you guys think, is it a girl or a boy? Post a comment and tell me which one you are thinking. I should start feeling the baby soon and I can't wait. Every once in awhile I feel a flutter and wonder if that's it. A website I read said the baby is about the size of an avocado now. Last week it was an apple. Crazy! Gotta go to bed. I'll post pictures of our zoo trip we had today probably this weekend. The next couple of days are busy. Hasta el fin de la semana! (Until the weekend!)

It's been almost 2 years!

Well, not quite, more like 1 year and 8 months since I've seen my college roomie Stephanie. She came to Colorado for a photography class and she stayed with us for a few days before it started. It was great to see her again and catch up!! It felt very relaxed and normal as if we see each other all the time. I think that's when you know it's a really good friend.

She took me for a pedicure for letting her stay with us. I told her that it was my pleasure having her stay with us and that she didn't need to do anything but she wanted to and wow, it was awesome. Thanks Steph!

When Steph was here last we took her to the Coors tour in Golden, CO and she wanted to go again so we went. Here we are in front of the bubbles that you can't see in this pic.

Here we are 3 years ago when I was 6 months prego with Audrey. It seems like every time I take someone to that tour I'm pregnant. Weird.

My 3rd Blogiversary (Yesterday)

Oops, I meant to do this post yesterday on my third blogiversary but I spaced it. I can't believe I've been blogging now for 3 years! Wowzer. And I didn't even want to do it in the first place but now I'm glad I did.

Today was the last day of music class for the girls.

So I got my haircut yesterday and I love it. It's been so long since I've had it cut and it really needed it. I told her to cut it really short and voila, she did. Thanks Vick!

Happy Mothers Day!!

Mom,

I want you to know that you are an awesome mom and grandma and I thank God for you every day. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't call you everyday and just talk, see what you're doing, get advice, vent, tell you everything exciting that the girls do, etc.

I want you to know that I'm so proud of you for reaching out to God in these last couple of years when you could do nothing else but lean on Him for strength and it's neat to see the growth in your Christian walk lately. I really notice it when I call you to complain about something and instead of being on my side and complaining with me you immediately give me advice based on what God would want me to do in my situations. You quote scripture or tell me what books of the Bible to turn to and you have just really given me such good advice lately and I appreciate it. We are going through a lot and I need that, I need a reminder that I need to turn to Him and live everyday to give glory and honor to my precious Heavenly Father. I feel so negative sometimes and you remind me to be thankful for so many things in my life that are wonderful. This is the life God has given me and I am to live it with a thankful heart. And I am thankful for so much. I've got a long way to go in my walk so thank you for being by my side to help me through.

I want you to know that you are a role model to me and I hope that when my children are older that I will be able to give them good Godly advice that will get them through tough moments and even through their best moments.

Thank you God for giving me the mom you gave me and help me to be the best mom I can be for my children.

I wanted to share this letter with all of you that read my blog because I just want you to know how thankful I am for my mom and I hope that you all can be thankful for your moms as well.

Baby Lee #3 is on its way!!!

Yes, it's true. We are expecting another baby around November 9th and we are super excited for the new addition to our family. I'm almost 13 weeks pregnant and just starting to feel better. Man has this been a whopper of pregnancy so far. I was a little sick with my girls but not too bad but this one, whew! For at least 4 weeks I was very sick, nauseous all day long! I could barely move off the couch and my girls watched more cartoons than I like but I really just needed quiet and not a lot of interruptions. I'm glad that part is over, I was feeling like a terrible mom.

We told the girls a little over a week ago and we thought they would be thrilled. Olivia for months has been saying she wants a baby brother. We got the video camera out to capture their expressions and we told them. Olivia was mad!!! She got the meanest look on her face and said she wasn't excited and didn't like babies. Well, I was sad and didn't know why she would act like this but then later that night we were praying. I had Audrey repeat after me and pray for the baby. After, Olivia told me she loved me and was excited for the baby in my belly!!! Since then, she talks about it a lot and is excited. She always asks how big it is now. It's about the size of a lime, well that's what it was last week anyway. Audrey asked me once, "Mom, you're getting in the shower with your baby?" Uh yeah, I kind of have to.

We told my parents by handing them a small cherry tomato and asking them what they thought it represents? (They were here around Easter so I was 10 weeks then). Then we told them it was the size of their 8th grandchild. When Steve's parents were here last week we handed them a red potato because we didn't have a lime. It will be there 6th grandchild.

I got to hear the heartbeat yesterday and that is always one of the best sounds in the world. I almost cried. Then my midwife asked me if I was sure of the date of my last cycle. I said yes. She said she thought I was measuring big, like 5 weeks bigger. WHAT? I'm not even showing really, and I always show by 18 weeks. She sent me for an ultrasound to find out if my due date is right and also to see if there was just one baby. Well, there is just one and I'm measuring where I should be. The tech said if we take into consideration the head and the crown to rump length then I'm measuring a week bigger but she said that is not as accurate as the femur bone and something else in the brain which are measuring right around 13 weeks. I don't know why my midwife thought I was so much bigger. All the ultrasound tech could say was maybe my uterus was contracting when she measured and that made it a little bigger. WEIRD! Anyway, I got to see the baby move its' arms and legs and see its' little spine and big head. I've never had an ultrasound this early so that was fun even though it turned out to be unnecessary.
