Happy Valentines!!!

Olivia and Audrey got a box of Valentine's stuff from Grandma and Grandpa and look what we found inside!

They loved these glasses, so fun!

Their cousins Sara and Faith made them picture frames for Valentine's Day. They turned out so cute!! Sara made one for Olivia and Faith made one for Audrey with pictures of them and their siblings in them. I think my mom made the one with the girls or maybe the girls helped.

Olivia's 5 Year Pictures

Since Owen posed with a football, Steve wanted Livi to pose with one too and he told her to look mean and grunt. She looks more stressed to me.

3 Month Pictures

We took Olivia to get her 5 year pictures and Owen to get his 3 month pictures compliments of Grandpa and Grandma. We have a picture done of Audrey just like the one above using a blanket that my Great-Grandma crocheted when she was 100 years old.

3 Months Old

My little man is 3 months old today. Have I said, "I can't believe it!" before? The above picture he was sitting in the Bumbo for the first time. It didn't last long, his neck is still not quite strong enough.

One Month----- Two Months----- Three Months

What a sad little boy, but oh so cute!

What's going on with Owen at 3 months:

• he weighs somewhere around 15 pounds I think (I'm using my scale so not sure how accurate that is.) He's heavy though.
• he is wearing size 2 diapers.
• he is giggling a lot and really babbling.
• he is wearing 3-6 months clothes.
• he is sleeping 8-10 hours at night most nights.
• he is taking 3+ naps a day.
• he loves to chew on his hands.
• he started baby music class in January and I love that one on one time with him.
• he lights up my life
  

The Results Are In....

Owen Andrew Lee does NOT have the higher risk genes for type 1 diabetes. So he does not have an increased risk like Audrey does but that does not mean that he will never develop type 1 diabetes. Because he has a sibling with type 1, he is still at some increased risk, compared to a child without diabetes in the family, but not as high of a risk as if he would have if he had the higher risk genes. Audrey is in the Teddy Study where she is tested every 3 months and has her blood drawn since she does have the higher risk genes. Owen will not be in the study and that is a relief.

My niece Macie developed type 1 diabetes a little over a year ago and her brother Garrett just developed it recently. Their dad has it (not related by blood to us because he is Steve's sister's husband) so they had a higher risk because of him and now 3 out of the 4 of their family has this disease.

So please be in prayer for Audrey as she continues to be monitored through her life.
