Christmas with the Oklahoma Lees

Above is a great picture of Steve's parents and all their children and grandchildren.

We celebrated Christmas early with Steve's family since we were in Oklahoma for Thanksgiving.

His mom did something special for her three kids this Christmas. She made each one of them a cookbook filled with recipes that she has used and likes. She wrote her memories of each of her children in the kitchen in the front of their books. And then had the recipes with where she got the recipe from. We laughed because one recipe said it came from the Cool Whip lid. Very nice gift idea though. I can't wait to try out some recipes.

There were many different small houses in this kit to make a little village so they had fun decorating them.

Thanksgiving and Such

We went to Oklahoma this year for Thanksgiving and spent time with Steve's family. Above we went to the place where Garrett works and the kids got to ride a few rides. The pic below is blurry because they were coming down fast but it captures their faces. It was fun but boy oh boy was Owen's face priceless. I think it freaked him out but he didn't cry or scream. Maybe because his binky was in his mouth.

This ride was like bumper cars except the tire part was filled with air and they kinda bounced off each other.

Thanksgiving was at Steve's sister Shelley's this year. Usually it is at his mom's but since we were celebrating Christmas at her house Shelley took over Thanksgiving and it worked out really nice.

Macie, Papaw, and Ashton. Found out the hat Ashton is wearing is a 12-24 month hat and his outfit is 3 months. Oops, the hat was a little too big.

The boys both had turtles on their shirts. Owen loves his little bro. He always rubs his cheeks so gently.

Look at that pitiful face. Check out her knees. She was playing with some girls near Steve's mom's house and she was running to their yard and she tripped hard and really banged up her knees bad. They were so sore.

O.k. this was just too precious! He hadn't seen Uncle Jeff in almost a year so I'm sure he didn't remember him but he just warmed right up to him and snuggled with him.

Even held his hand. So sweet.

At Lisa's she made her annual cookies for her brother and the kids helped.

Ashton looks goosed again. Audrey favors Aunt Shelley and Ashton favors Audrey so do these two favor each other then? I think so.

Ashton's 3 Months Today!

Hi my little man! You are three months old now and here are your stats:

• You wear size 0-3 months clothes
• You wear size 1 diaper
• Started really cooing a week before 3 months
• Sleeping through the night at 10 weeks (some nights 8-10 hours) Let me just tell you that is such a blessing. This time with no sleep has been so hard on me and since he's been sleeping I am alive again. Thank you God for sleep!
  
• Rolled over 12 weeks from tummy to back 11/10/11
• Neck is getting stronger
• You are staying awake now for longer stretches.
• You can hear my voice and your eyes follow me when I cross the room.

See how you've changed

You always seem so surprised. Your eyes just looked bug eyed or like you've been goosed as your dad calls it.

I am so excited that you are a part of this family little guy! You are so sweet and I love to stare at your little face.
