Audrey's first haircut

Oh my poor baby girl. She was not blessed with thick hair. It is very thin and growing in mostly in back so it looks like she has a mullet when worn down. That is why she wears pig tails when we are out in public. It is paper thin and so different than how Olivia's grew out. Olivia didn't have her first haircut until she was 2 1/2 but Audrey at 22 months needed it. My hair is super duper thick so I don't quite get it but Steve thinks his hair was thin. Hopefully it will grow in thicker.

My friend and hairdresser Vicki attempting to cut her hair. She told Steve who was holding the video camera that she was just not quite sure what to do with it. She couldn't cut it into a bob, not enough hair. She couldn't cut it too short, that would look funny. So really she just took a little off the back. Oh well. It was very hard for me to hold her head straight by the way, she is strong.

Happy Belated 4th of July!

So we went back to Wyoming for the 4th of July weekend and first we stayed with my sweet Granny Thompson in Rock Springs.

Next, we went up to Pinedale, WY to my grandma Forsgren's cabin for a family reunion on my mom's side.

Olivia and grandma watching fireworks. We were very close to where they were setting them off & it was very loud. Olivia didn't care for them much and wanted them to be over. She liked the colors but not the noise. Scary!

My nephew Tyler and cousin Brittany on a slip and slide. In the background notice we had 3 pop-up campers, a tent, and a camper trailer. Plus there are 3 bedrooms in the cabin and a bed upstairs in the game room. Lots of kids on the floor. I think there were 34 of us in all. Not to mention lots of dogs. There would have been 36 but my brother and sis-in-law were at home 1 1/2 hours away waiting patiently for the baby. Boo hoo, it was not the same without them at all.

Mike, my dad, Steve, and I went on a motorcycle ride near Fremont Lake. Fun but got hit with many bugs in the face and my allergies got so bad I could hardly see. Pretty view though.

We got back to Rock Springs on Sunday night and my sis-in-law had the baby Monday morning, perfect timing. It was great to be there and go to the hospital. She had a baby boy, Jason Asher, weighing in at 8 lbs. 3 oz. and 20 1/2 inches long. So cute!
