Pre-Halloween Festivities

I just love this picture of her.

They printed stencils this year off the internet. The first one is a bird (maybe a crow, can't remember), the OU is just with marker, then the spider.

Then we tried on costumes for Owen because we weren't sure if he should be the mascot for the sooners...

...which is a horse...

...or a cute pumpkin...

...or Tigger. (We got a few hand me downs so it was a tough choice.)

The kids dressed up for their music classes and for music he was the pumpkin but for Halloween he was the horse.

Steve bought them this Halloween gingerbread house.

The frosting didn't set well and the walls kept crumbling down. Oh well, it was still fun!

The Pumpkin Patch

We went to Anderson Farms this year and had a great time. The last time we had been there it was 4 years ago, click here to see that post. Audrey was only a few months old and Olivia was about 21 months old.

They rode in the barrels. Last time I did it with Olivia and it was a rough ride for this mama.

This goat almost jumped the fence to get to Olivia's food she had.

Owen was cracking me up. He LOVED the animals. He would look at them and just screech with excitement.

I think Olivia's favorite thing was running on top of the little kids bales of hay maze.

A Bunch of Wood Chips

So we had 10 poplar trees that needed to be cut down in our backyard so we hired a company to do that but they were going to charge $300.00 to haul the wood chips away. We thought we would just use them in the backyard to cover up the tree stumps that were left and fill in where we have rocks. WELLLLLLL, what we didn't imagine is that there would be this many wood chips. Steve and I were both gone when they dumped them in our driveway so when I pulled around the corner and saw this in my driveway I couldn't believe it. WHAT were we going to do with all those wood chips. Our neighbor helped us, we put some in our back yard, bagged a few, gave a lot to the neighbor two doors down for his dog run, and that was it. It took a week though to get it done so my driveway was not usable and we had to go in and out of the house through the bushes and it was difficult getting into the garage. But it's done and I can see my driveway again so WOO HOO!

11 Months Old!

Hi Owen! At 11 months old you:

• weigh about 20 lbs.
• wear size 12 month clothes but are growing into very quickly size 18 month or 12-18 mo.
• wear size 4 shoes
• wear size 3 diapers
• crawl on your knuckles when you do crawl and don't crawl with your knees on the ground so you look like a monkey.
• began walking on Sept. 23rd (8 steps, then more) so you were about 1o months, 1 1/2 weeks old. Wow, my earliest walker. Your sister both walked around 11 1/2 months.
• laugh at mommy when I tell you "No!" in a firm voice to steer you away from something you shouldn't be doing. You think it's funny! Uh-oh!
• crawl onto everything like the girls' desks, chairs, boxes, etc. You make me nervous.

• You love bath time!!!!

You love to stand in the driver's seat and hold onto the wheel. (Your sister Olivia used to love this too)

You love this little car, you get in and out and close the door, it's so cute.

I love you little man! I can't believe you are going to be a year in one month!
