Presents in the Mail

I have received two homemade baby gifts in the mail from my VERY talented friend Megan from Megan's Originals.

Before we knew we were having a boy this awesome hat arrived and I had no idea it was coming. I was so excited! Isn't it adorable? I LOVE surprises, it made my whole day.

Then I was reading Megan's blog and this post showed this blanket and she said her friend just found out she was having a boy. In the back of my mind I was thinking, "Oh boy, I hope the friend she is talking about is me because I love that blanket." Well, I left her a comment on her blog and she emailed me and said she didn't want to ruin the surprise but it was for my baby boy and she sent it out not long after that. She's awesome. I ordered a blanket a little like this one for my nephew Jason and it is his favorite blanket. Check out her blog for other great gifts and finds for you or someone else. Thanks again Megan.

We found this hat in Boulder when Steve's parents were here and it was before we knew we were having a boy. We liked it so much and it was super cheap that we couldn't pass it up and we just hoped that someday we would have a boy who could wear it. I can't wait until he can.

Here is the first outfit I bought for our little guy, I couldn't resist, I had to buy just one new baby boy outfit. I will get some great hand-me-downs and new things from others for him so this will probably be the only new outfit I buy for him for awhile. It's hard to see but it has little ears on the hood. It's hard to believe that trucks, trains, cars, bugs, etc. are going to be a part of our life now with a boy coming.

Olivia's New Bike

I've been looking for a used bike for Olivia because she has WAY outgrown her little bike. I was telling my mom about it and she said she would like to buy her a new bike so we went shopping and this is what she picked out. She LOVES it!! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!!

Off the subject - we were hanging out in the backyard and Audrey was standing by this tree and said, "Take a picture of me." I told her I pretended to take a picture because I didn't have my camera and she said, "No, go get your camera." She really wanted me to take a real picture of her posing by this tree. Funny girl!

25 kids + 8 adults = 1 Fun Play Date

We went to a play date at my friend Joy's house up in Lyons, CO. There were 25 kids and 8 adults which is quite large for one of our play dates. The kids had fun playing outside and running through the sprinklers. Thanks Joy for hosting a fabulous time.

6 months already!

I've made it to the 6 month mark with this pregnancy! Getting bigger by the minute.

We went to a baby shower on Saturday and I curled the girls hair. It turned out so cute and now they want their hair curled everyday. I love this picture of them.

Let me tell you about my discovery. Thin hair holds curl a LOT better than thick hair. I have very thick hair so I've known my hair doesn't hold curl well. Olivia's is just like mine but Audrey's is very thin and it kept the curl all day long. I've been wondering if there were any advantages to thin hair and I've found one!!! Woo hoo!

Steve's sister Lisa, her husband Lee, and our nephew Grayson came to visit us from Oklahoma for a few days.

We had a great time with them. They bought us groceries and did most of the cooking and baking! What a treat!!!!! I know, I know, what are they doing that for when they are our guests? They insisted and while it was difficult for me to let them do that while they were visiting us, it sure was a nice treat. They sure spoiled us. Thanks guys!!

Oh yeah, by the way, Mike watched the girls for us while we went to the game and this is how much fun they had.

The Rest of the Story...

I told you I would post more about our trip to Wyoming later but I bet you didn't think it would be a week later, oops. We've had family in town so I'm catching up now. My brother Troy wanted to take his boat to Flaming Gorge about 45 minutes outside of Rock Springs so we loaded up and went. It was a beautiful day and the girls loved it.

For some reason I didn't get pictures of my nieces Faith and Sarah before they went to church camp. They were sick for some of the week they were there so we didn't do a whole lot except VBS.

Playing Catch Up

O.k. so the girls and I went on an 11 day excursion to Wyoming to visit my family about 3 weeks ago and I'm just now posting pictures.

Vacation Bible School
Olivia went to VBS with her cousins Sara and Faith this year. It took awhile for Olivia to warm up to the whole thing but she ended up having a lot of fun and made a really good friend Boo. On the last day they did a performance of the songs and actions they learned through the week. My sister-in-law Bethanne led the music and did a great job. She said Olivia really participated well and got into the actions every night. I wasn't able to go to the performance (boo hoo) because Audrey and I were very sick so my parents took pics and video for me. Although Olivia doesn't look very excited in these pictures, she stayed up there the whole time and did all the actions and songs. I'm so proud of her, especially if you remember her ballet recital where she just stood on the stage. This time she did it and Bethanne thinks she is coming out of her shell.

My mom said the little boy that is blurred was jumping up and down very fast the entire time.

Family Reunion on Pine Mountain
My Aunt Paula and my cousins Chelsea and Sam came to visit from Oregon and I haven't seen them since Audrey was 2 months old, so about 2 1/2 years ago. My Uncle Craig has a cabin on Pine Mountain about 1 1/2 hours outside Rock Springs so he had us all up for a little family reunion. I haven't been to the cabin in probably more than 10 years and I was so excited to go. I LOVE it there. It's so peaceful, it smells good, it reminds me of memories of my childhood when we would go up there more often and hike, etc. There is no electricity so it's roughing it but it's perfect.
