A Good Day for a Diabetes Walk!

This year Team Olivia raised $2,110.00!! Thank you to all who were able to donate and thank you to those who prayed for us and especially Olivia. We are so excited that JDRF will get these donations and see what great things they will do with it.

We were so glad that Grandma and Grandpa were able to walk with us again this year. They haven't missed it yet.

Before the walk, the girls checked out a giant tortoise...

...and a really TALL clown.

And we're off. Do you see the policeman on his motorcycle to the right? Well, we were the last walkers. It was so crowded we waited until the crowd died down and we barely made it before they closed the gates to Elitch's where we walked. Whew, glad we made it. We didn't end up last though, we passed a lot of people along the way.

Olivia is wearing a yellow hat because all those with Type 1 Diabetes wore a yellow hat so we could all see who these kids/adults were. It was neat for Olivia to see the others who have diabetes too.

After the walk, we waited (my mom and I took turns) in a very long line to get a balloon animal. I bet we were there over an hour. I still can't believe we did that but the girls really wanted one and they didn't mind the wait. They got ladybugs.

Since the walk is at Six Flag Elitch Gardens, we raised enough money to stay and enjoy Elitch's the rest of the day.

It wasn't a very busy day there so we didn't have to wait in long lines. The girls loved the bumper cars and probably rode them 100 times.

They had fun with this game!

Steve talked my dad into riding this ride with him. It takes you straight up and then you free fall for a short bit and it is such a rush. My dad's face when it was all over was hilarious.

Steve and Audrey went on the log/boat ride and got drenched!!!! Olivia would not go, she was scared but Audrey didn't hesitate and had a blast. Olivia is so much like me, I was scared of rides like that when I was little too.

A very good grandpa took Livi on a ride that would have made me sick.
